本作にはインド、タスマニア、ヨルダン、ベルギー、中国、ウガンダ、以前住んでいた南アフリカ、現在住んでいるイギリスなど、これまでに世界中で行われたレコーディング・セッションの断片が収録されています。カットアップされたリズムに霊性を感じさせる耽美なヴォーカルが美しい女性の強さを歌った先行配信曲の「there is always a girl with a secret」、ポストパンクの影響を強く感じるリズムやベースラインに加え美しくも不穏なヴォーカルやストリングスがループするクールなM4「bower of bliss」、ポリリズムなトラックに始まり、ダーティーなベース音と強烈なラップが差し込まれるM10「fractions fractured factions」他、全17曲を収録。
ダンスミュージック、電子音楽、コラージュ、アヴァンギャルドといった要素をMira Calix独自のフィルターを通してアウトプットした傑作！
